We have 12 students in our classroom this year.
And here they are in no particular order...
Nick F.: I'm creative, smart, athletic and artistic. When I turn 18 I want to go to college and/or the military academy, ROTC, and then become a Navy Seal. When i am not on active duty I'd like to work on computers. I'd also like to work at CTC when I am not in college.
Alessio: My name is Alessio. I am 18 years old. I am from Bayonne, NJ. I have one brother. I love entertainment and media. My mother is from Hoboken while my father is from Italy. I have been dating my girlfriend since September, 2010. I have one dog and one cat. My favorite hobbies include swimming, ice skating, and taking long walks. My favorite foods are anything except Asian. My favorite place to live is in California, and that is what you now know about me.
John: I am John. I work on our classroom small business, Sour Puss Pickles. I love video gaming, art and music. I also enjoy reading, cooking and eating (but not cleaning up).
Sanjit: I'm Sanjit. I am 17 years old. I like sports, music and funny stuff. I have a brother who is younger than me. My favorite food is samosas and I like to go for walks.
Keir: I think the most important thing to remember in life is not giving up.
I was born on january 14, 1996 in Wenatchee, Washington at central Washington hospital. My full name is Keir Kiblinger Keebler. Keir is celtic for little dark one and so named for my long black hair. My early years were seen as cute much under arousal crawling late and not developing. Many doctors saying go home and give up. My parents are john and kelly (Ketchie) Keebler. My family advocated for intelligent learning.
Bud found my gleam and Monica believed in my potential. Lisa gave me my voice. Karen challenges my thinking and my perspective. Nobody gives up on me. Amy teaches me new things and my friends find ways feeling hopeful despite challenges. My mom and dad love me getting to be myself.
I have one sibling brother Ian Charles Keebler born august 8, 1993. Wonderful excellent brother. Ian gives me never ending support and freedom and courage. We like reading and science and much about water together. Never feel alone with Ian. Follow same love line as Ian.
My family bikes together hikes together swims together. We are all hilarious with joking.
Not telling about first school experience. I am only interested remembering celebrate the children times. My family moved to andover new jersey in 2005 when i was nine and i began attending celebrate the children at the linden school in Stanhope. Lisa romaine was my first teacher and i was under aroused in bean bag having sensory war in each weak body cell but feeling respected and safe and Lisa treated me smart. Now I'm a senior and graduating this year. Friends are my favorite part about school. Getting to see friends is worth every incredible challenge.
Reading harry potter was my favorite books growing up. I like being in the water and with great trees. Understanding nature is my passion. Teaching about autism is also important in Keir's life.
So to summarize i see too much wonder and beauty in everyone and everything ancient and new in the moonlight. Even when i get scared or frustrated i will not give up. Being Keir is the real chance to learn. Done
Nick R.: This is a story about me, Nick R.. Beautiful answers were realized at the age of 7. An avenue appeared that ensured my place in the world. The reason I can tell you about this avenue is I learned to type. Although I am not an easy talker, I can become a great writer. I am nervous about my future, but am excited.
Jeff: My name is Jeff. I will be 18 years old in a few days. My life consists of going to school at Celebrate the Children and being with my friends. Life is good. Sometimes on the weekends I spend time with my cousins in PA. In the future I plan on working and getting a dog.
AJ: Hi. My name is Anthony Joseph, but everybody calls me AJ. I am 15 years old and will be 16 on May 27th. I am a native of New Jersey and live in East Hanover with my mom, dad and older brother, Nicholas. We have a new dog, Apollo, who is a yellow lab. I feel really everything today. I'm sensitive to everyones thoughts and feelings, good or bad. Yes, it is sometimes very difficult to focus, but I am super aware of this. I'm holding good thoughts for everyone. I like playing hoops with friends. I like to help people. I feel lucky to be in this school because I got my voice. I work so hard so I can talk one day.
still to come...
